It was in 1889, at the Paris World Fair, that Herminie Cadolle presented her brand new invention: the Bien-être meaning 'Well-being'. A corset cut in two freeing the solar plexus of women at the time. The chest is from now on supported from above, suspended by straps. This was the beginning of existence of the very first bra. Herminie Cadolle later registered her patent and the next six generations have been working to create bras made for women according to fashion and the times.
